This is and old forgoten design I made about three years ago, that I've rediscover and finished. its a small jewell/filigram based in the mixture of concepts, first the idea of the Fabergé Eggs designed by Peter Carl Fabergé and his assistants between 1885 and 1917 for the Russian Czars mixed with some elphic/tolkienesque imaginery. This work is somehow in the same line as my Poseidons Trident:
The scene i choose is the cover of one of its best cartoon books called "Gente en su sitio" ( its something like "People in its place" in english) printed around 1979, and i like it cause as in most of Quino´s work presents a balance between a humor situation and a human drama. all the small details in the image were took it in to account, also 3d modeling was pretty "loose" to achieve a similar style to Quino's drawing style. the scene was entirely modeled and rendered in Cinema 4D with some color correction in Photoshop.

Temple of Light - Space for meditation

This is my final work for the Challenge "The temple of light" at the spanish C4D Forum C4Des.com, the objective was to research all possibilities of light to produce a place of cult and religious space. in my case theres a play between the cold moonlight coming from the skylight that produces some intrincated shadows in the round wall, and the warm light from all the small candles (about 72, each one with an omni with visible light and a geometry with a texture with luminance), producing a meditating mood. hope you like it.
